Urvin grew up in a musical family. At a young age, he danced along with his brother to the music of their great pop idol Michael Jackson. Urvin Roberto Monte proved to be a born entertainer and at the age of eight he already performed for large audiences, the beginning of a professional dance career that has already spanned more than 20 years.
Although dancing was always a big thing in his life, he had also a great passion for singing. He started a vocal group with friends, this resulted in a musical career for Urvin. In 2004 Urvin performed for more than two years in the musical 'Mamma Mia'. Several productions soon followed, including 'Five Guys Named Moe' (2009), for which he won a John Kraaijkamp Musical Award for his role as 'Little Moe' in the category 'Best male lead in a small musical'. This was followed by more productions in which he sparkled, such as Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Daddy Cool, Shrek, and Dreamgirls. In the blockbuster, 'The Bodyguard' (2016), Urvin even played with his son Daley for half a year, who played the role of 'Fletcher'.
In 2007, Urvin married his wife Kim "I am a proud man, but all above a proud dad". With his sons Jayden and Daley, and his daughter Dylan it is a loving and cozy 'full house'! Urvin's musicals ambition also gave him an ambition to act. He had a number of roles in well-known TV series and appeared in a big KPN Hi commercial. In early 2017 he made his debut as the character ‘Felix Jagtman’ in the biggest Dutch television soap 'Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden'.
In 2016, Urvin finished studying to become an audio engineer. He produces music, DJ’s for companies and perform at various festivals. "Life is a big party, it has to be lived with love, humour and music.
