Britt Scholte

Britt Scholte appeared in the popular children’s series ‘Brugklas’ on NPO3, and is a role model for children between the ages of 8 and 14.  She played one of the main roles in ‘Brugklas’ as well as roles in various information films and in a Dutch series called ‘Spangas’. In 2013, Britt took part in the 'World Championships of Performing Arts' in Hollywood. She has won five awards for acting and modelling, and a $ 10,000 scholarship for 'The New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts'.

Britt Scholte was born in Heiloo on February 26 1997. As a little girl she often performed on stage at school shows. When Britt was six years old she took a  street dance class, and it was then that she knew her dream was to perform on stage. When she was eight she took theatre classes. Between the ages of 9 and 11 she joined the theatre association Oberon in Alkmaar. At the age of 10 she joined the youth theatre and stayed there for 5 years. Britt still loves amateur theater, and is always keen to continue to learn her trade . She is in her third year at Theaterbende Heiloo.

Over the years, Britt has appeared in various roles and takes every opportunity to see how things work on the set. In 2010 she had a lucky break, and was a stand-in for leading actress Hanna Obbeek in the film 'Briefgeheim'. In this film, she learnt so much about acting and she decided to audition for a student film, 'Wie niet weg is, is gezien’ by Igrayne Hormann and got the lead role.

2012 went by very fast, and she did some modelling for Livera and Bart Smit. She also appeared in the television series Dokters as Quinty, and in SpangaS as the character Trijntje. She took part in many student films with different but important topics, and a promotional film for a high school 'Jac. P. Thijsse College '

In 2013, she played a role in an information film about binge drinking. Britt also took part in the 'World Championships of Performing Arts' in Hollywood. And in 2013 Britt started in the first year of Faaam, (Film Actors Academy Amsterdam) to study actor training at this famous media college.

In 2014 she had a part in an information film about sexting & grooming for the youth care and police department at Amsterdam council called 'Nienke'. She appeared with actors such as Peter Post, Jildou Street, Herman Egberts and Ruud van Andel. She had a role in an information film about SOA Aids under the direction of Hugo Metsers and a commercial for M & L driving school. In 2014, the first two seasons of BRUGKLAS came out with Britt playing the main character Anouk. This was Britt's big TV debut. This was followed by a lot of interest and opportunities for her.

As well as acting, Britt enjoys performing many different dance styles such as street dance, theatre dance, rock & roll, hip hop, basic tap dance and modern.
